Contact

A real person reads this. There is no ticket system and no chatbot.

NOBSPDF is a small project, so the fastest way to reach us is email. We read everything, though we cannot promise to answer every message the same day.

What is genuinely useful to send

The most valuable reports are the specific ones. If a file did not convert the way you expected, the details below turn a message we cannot act on into a bug we can fix:

  • What you were trying to do — the tool you used and the result you expected.
  • What happened instead — an error message, a blank page, a download that would not open.
  • Your browser and operating system — the tools lean on newer browser APIs, and behaviour genuinely differs between them.
  • Roughly how large the file was, and how many pages, if it was a PDF.

Please do not send us your file

This matters more here than on most sites. Everything NOBSPDF does runs inside your browser precisely so that your documents never reach us — emailing one to us would undo the entire point of the product, and it would put a copy of your document in an inbox we would then have to look after.

If a specific file misbehaves and we cannot reproduce it, we would rather ask you for a redacted sample, or a document you create solely for the test, than receive the original. In most cases the browser, the operating system and a description of the problem are enough.

Requesting a tool

Tool requests are welcome and several of the pages on this site exist because somebody asked. The useful thing to include is the actual job you are trying to finish rather than the feature you think you need — the underlying task often turns out to be solvable with something simpler, or reveals a tool we had not considered.

One honest caveat: some requests cannot be built the way people expect. True PDF compression, optical character recognition and editing the original text inside a PDF are all substantially harder than they sound in a browser, and we would rather say so than ship a version that quietly damages your document.

Privacy and security

If you believe you have found a privacy or security problem, say so in the subject line and we will prioritise it. Claims about what happens to your files are the core promise of this site, so a credible report that we are wrong is the most important message we can receive.

For what we do and do not collect, see the privacy page, which describes actual runtime behaviour rather than intentions.
