How to edit a pdf

  1. 1

    Open your PDF

Drag the PDF onto the drop area, or browse for it. Pages render straight away.

  2. 2

    Add what you need

Use the Text, Image, Draw and Signature tools. Drag anything you add to reposition it, or use the corner handle to resize.

  3. 3

    Download the edited PDF

Press Download PDF. You get a real PDF with the original pages intact and your additions on top.

What this editor does

  • Add text with a choice of font, size, weight and colour.
  • Place PNG, JPG or WebP images and resize them with the aspect ratio locked.
  • Draw freehand with an adjustable pen width and colour.
  • Create a signature by drawing, typing or uploading one.
  • Undo and redo with Ctrl/Cmd + Z, delete with the Delete key, deselect with Escape.

What it does not do — and why we say so

This editor adds content on top of your PDF. It does not rewrite the existing text inside the document. Editing original PDF text reliably means reconstructing fonts, kerning and layout, and tools that promise it often quietly break the page.

For the overwhelmingly common jobs — filling something in, initialling a page, adding a date, covering a mistake, dropping in a logo, signing — overlays are exactly the right approach and the result stays a real, selectable, printable PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to your servers?
No. The document is opened and edited by code running in your browser, and the new PDF is generated on your device. There is no upload endpoint in this application — you can watch the network tab while you work.
Is there a watermark on the edited PDF?
No. Nothing is added to your document except the changes you made. There is no watermark, no footer and no branding.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no signup, no email capture and no login anywhere in this tool.
Can I edit the text that is already in the PDF?
Not in this version. You can cover it and type over it, which is what most people actually need, but the original text objects are left untouched.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, though a larger screen is easier for precise placement. The toolbar scrolls horizontally and the drag handles are sized for touch.
Can it open a password-protected PDF?
No. Encrypted PDFs are detected and reported clearly rather than failing in a confusing way. Remove the password in the application that created it first.
