Plain English, and specific about what actually happens.

Your files

Files you select in any of our tools — editing or signing a PDF, merging, splitting, rotating or reordering pages, converting between PDF and images, or converting, compressing and resizing pictures — are processed locally in your browser. The processing code runs on your device. We do not intentionally upload, receive, store or back up those files, and there is no file-upload endpoint in this application.

Results are produced on your device and handed to you as a normal browser download. Nothing is round-tripped through a server to generate them.

What we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit or store:

file contents or the generated result file,
filenames,
text extracted from your documents,
page thumbnails or image pixel data,
signature images or typed signature names,
certificates, private keys or certificate passwords,
document metadata such as titles or authors,
cryptographic hashes of your files (a hash can act as an identifier).

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It records standard, aggregated web analytics data such as the page visited, referrer, approximate country, and device/browser type. It does not use cookies for cross-site tracking and does not build a profile of you across other websites.

We may also record a small number of generic product events, for example that a PDF export completed or that an image conversion finished. These events are fixed names with no attached data — no filename, no file size, no document content. If analytics are blocked or unavailable, every tool continues to work normally.

Advertising

Advertising is currently disabled in this deployment. If we enable ads later, ad providers would be third parties that may process ordinary browser and advertising information. They would receive no information about your files: advertising code is kept separate from file-processing code and is never given access to your documents or images.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes the ordinary network requests needed to deliver the page, its scripts and its assets. Those requests deliver the application to you; they do not carry your file contents.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use cookies to identify you, and we do not save your documents, certificates or certificate passwords to localStorage, IndexedDB or cookies. Files you open exist in the page's memory and are released when you start over, close the tab or reload.

What this claim does and does not mean

When we say “this file never left your computer” we mean exactly that: the contents of the file you selected, and the result we generated from it. We do not claim that the entire website works offline or that your browser makes no network requests at all — loading the page, its code, and any analytics or advertising are ordinary network activity.
